TALENT MOBILITY RIDING ON ASIAN TIGER
Akademi Harimau Asia (Harimau Asia) is pleased to be able to collaborate with Mental Danışmanlık Anonim Şirketi (Mental HR Consultancy) of Turkey, represented by Melih Ecertaş to provide mobility to Malaysian and Turkish talents.
In a Memorandum of Cooperation signed on 19 December 2019, Harimau Asia via its partners will provide opportunities for Malaysian talents to gain work experience in strategic sectors in Turkey and vice versa.
The memorandum exchange was witnessed by the Malaysian prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Iranian president Dr Hassan Rouhani.
Harimau Asia and Mental HR will set up joint offices in Malaysia and Turkey to implement the programme, which will include talent identification and assessment and job placements. A framework is currently being negotiated to secure residence and work permits, language training and other logistical matters.
The programme is expected to be in full swing in the second half of 2020, with up to 50 young talents from Malaysia are expected to benefit from the programme in the year. Among others, academic and student exchange is also high on the agenda, allowing Malaysian universities to attract more international students here.
In the long run, the framework is also expected to be the main talent pipeline between the two countries, serving both the industry and academia, enabling more trade, industry cooperation and academic and research collaboration.
The leaders also witnessed letters of intent exchange with Mr Enes Eminoğlu on behalf of the Turkish Youth Foundation. Also present were youth representatives Indonesia. The letters of intent pave the way for youth exchange between the countries in education, professional development, Islamic sciences, as well as politics and the civil society.
Akademi Harimau Asia is registered as Persatuan Harimau Asia with the Registrar of Societies (PPM-014-14-10122019). As a social enterprise, it aims to prepare youth for current challenges by equipping them with knowledge and training in order to make Malaysia an Asian Tiger once again.
